HOW THEY QUALIFIED

Nigeria who failed to make the cut in 2012 edition of Afcon held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea qualified this around by beating Liberia 8-3 on aggregate in October. The Super Eagles will be hoping for bigger things in South Africa. Coach Stephen Keshi aims to follow in the foot-steps of the Dream Team of 1994 which won the prestigious tournament.

Stephen Keshi is rebuilding the side after they failed to qualify for CAN 2012, the team is showing signs of improvement since he took over the reins as coach of the Super Eagles in November. Keshi has previously coached Togo and Mali and will be hoping to make a lasting impression in South Africa.
